This blend is made for adding depth to traditional tequila cocktails. Our versions of the Extra Margarita or the Extra Paloma adds a Scotch touch to infamous Mexican cocktails – and you can blend them into slushies, too!
What is the difference between Chivas Regal and Chivas Regal Extra?
The Chivas Regal Extra 13 range adds an extra cask selective maturation or finish to the whisky making process. Our Scotch is aged for 13 years in the cask, and then spends additional time in another cask (such as tequila or sherry) to bring a new world of flavour to the blend.
Is Chivas Regal Extra 13 Tequila Cask a tequila?
No, Chivas Extra 13 Tequila Cask Selection* is a blended Scotch whisky. Our expert blending team add a proportion of our Scotch into a barrel that previously held tequila. Rather than creating a flavoured tequila or a tequila Scotch hybrid, this process enhances the smooth flavours already present in our blend.
