Penicillin
Fresh
Created in the early 2000s in New York City, the Penicillin is a relatively new Scotch cocktail that has become a classic in no time thanks to its bold yet refreshing flavour profile. A Penicillin cocktail features smooth blended whisky and peaty single malt for a drink with a kick. These two bold flavours are balanced by zingy ginger and sour lemon for a strong yet wonderfully refreshing cocktail.

PENICILIN ORIGINS
This cocktail’s name heralds back to a time when lemon and ginger were widely used for their healing properties, and their inclusion in this Penicillin drink hints at it being a cure-all. The creator of the Penicillin drug, Alexander Fleming, was also Scottish – so it’s fitting that the Penicillin drink is full of Scottish flavour, made with two types of Scotch.
