FIRST THING ON THE CHIVAS RETHINK AGENDA: PHASING OUT SECONDARY PACKAGING.
We’re making important steps on the journey to be more sustainable. While the new Chivas 12 carton is already made from fully recyclable packaging, we’re taking it even further by removing it completely.
Over the next few years, we’re phasing out the carton in a bid to meet the Chivas Brothers’ and parent company Pernod Ricard’s 2025 target of 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging. This comes alongside our earlier redesign of Chivas 12 resulting in a lighter bottle, which will save over 1,300 tonnes of glass annually.
The initiative is the first to come from the new sustainability platform CHIVAS RETHINK, which puts the spotlight on our sustainability initiatives.
